But her statement reveals one thing that Bharat’s producer first choice was Priyanka Chopra. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif earlier said in a statement the she was the first choice for Bharat film. It is confusing that Katrina claimed that she was the first choice not Priyanka but in another interview she said that she thanks when Bharat came to her after Priyanka exit.
Actor Katrina Kaif was roped in as the lead of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bharat last year after Priyanka Chopra quit the project mere weeks before the shoot was to begin. Now, in an interview Katrina has said that she, and not Priyanka Chopra, was always producer Atul Agnihotri’s first choice for the film.

While this time she said that she is the first choice. She said that the producer Atul has always been very supportive and really wanted me to do the film. And in the end, that’s what happened. Talking about working with Salman, Katrina said, “I would not have lunch or hang out with him. It’s different with an action film like Tiger where you can chat and chill. But that is not the only case, because earlier Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar had said that there is no bad blood between him and Priyanka post her exit from the film. He said, “Priyanka was doing the film but things happened. As a friend, she shared it with me and I told that her life is most important.
Katrina and Salman will be seen together again after working together in films like Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya, Partner, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai.
