Rami Malek Played Villain Role in James Bond 25 on one condition

The Oscar award winner actor Rami Malek will be playing a lead villain role in James Bond 25. But before signing the film the actor has pre-condition, according to the script the villain for this new 007 film is to be “Arabic speaking terrorist”.  The much-talked-about James Bond movie, unofficially called Bond 25, is finally in the making. The 007 movie sees Daniel Craig step out as the Bond for one last time before he places his weapons on the table and walks away. Craig will be meeting his last villain portrayed by Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek. However, the actor did not jump on the film the moment director to him with the offer.

In his latest interview, Rami revealed, “it’s a great character and I’m very excited,” Rami, who is of Egyptian descent, is quoted as saying. “But that was one thing that I discussed with Cary. I said, ‘We cannot identify him with any act of terrorism reflecting an ideology or a religion. That’s not ­something I would entertain, so if that is why I am your choice then you can count me out.’ But that was clearly not his vision. So he’s a very different kind of terrorist.”

With the Egyptian background, he asked the filmmaker for an assurance that the villain he wouldn’t play a religious fundamentalist or would be an Arabic-speaking terrorist.

The actor I said, ‘We cannot identify him with any act of terrorism reflecting an ideology or a religion. He further that after making his reservations clear, he accepted the role and director agreed to avoid such thing which hurts religious sentiments.

He said, “that’s not ­something I would entertain, so if that is why I am your choice then you can count me out’. But that was clearly not his vision. So he’s a very different kind of terrorist. It’s another extremely clever script from the people who have figured out exactly what people want in those movies. But I feel a substantial weight on my shoulders. I mean, Bond is ­something that we all grow up with.”

The next Bond movie, known as “Bond 25” marks the franchise’s 25th installment.  And, it will be played in theaters April 8, 2020.
