Again Bollywood is hit with the word nepotism, this time again Kapoor’s and Karan Johar comes under the radar. Well, it’s just that it has become very busy out there as 2019 finds several kids of Bollywood families having come of age. With the latest controversy involves guess what the director-producer Karan Johar, who already be called as the master of nepotism by his critics especially by Kangana Ranaut. After he announced the film ‘Dostana 2’ with Jhanvi Kapoor in, netizens slammed the director.

Fans are furious that Janhvi Kapoor has been cast in Dostana 2 and terming it as nepotism? Did they get a similar feeling when Abhishek Bachchan was cast in the first part of Dostana (2008?). Its all started when Karan Johar introduced Mahesh Bhatt daughter and now superstar Alia Bhatt. But some says that he also introduced the Tara Sutaria, who has no filmy background.

Among many trolled tweets, one catches the attraction, for casting Jhanvi Kapoor in Dostana 2, one person slammed the Karan by tweeting,

The producer-director Karan Johar had gone for Sidharth Malhotra and Jhanavi Kapoor in Dostana 2. Besides the film shooting started, trolls had already started him for nepotism that he showed in casting Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in the big project.

In a reply Karan lost his cool and slammed on the social media platform. But now, instead of Sidharth Malhotra, Kartik Aryan is to play the role in sequel film. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor is very excited about the film.

She said, “I’m just really excited to be a part of this film! Not just because of what it’s trying to say but also because the story is just so much fun. I’m happy we’re talking about this subject more and more in cinema and normalizing it.” While many actors – both male and female – might have their own reservations about the film and playing a gay character.
