Abey Deol! “No One Is Giving Me Any Work”

During his recent interview, Abhay Deol was asked about his absence from Bollywood industry. The actor didn’t hold back as he replied, “No one is giving me any work”. He began his career with Imtiaz Ali’s Socha Na Tha in 2005, has been lately taking long breaks between his films. The actor was last seen in a small cameo in Zero, which starred Shah Rukh Khan. Besides his films, ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’ and DEV D were the best films.

On asking the digital debut, the film star, He said, “No one is giving me any work. The kind of content I want to be part of, is hardly made. At the same time, I have not closed myself to anything. As long as it excites me, I am game for it.”

In an interview, Abey  Deol argues he wouldn’t want his career shaping up any other way. “It is a choice I have made. The kind of stories I like often comes from debutant directors. So, to ensure that the film sees the light of day is a long process in itself,” says the actor, who completes 15 years in the industry in 2020.

The 43-year-old actor, who has completed 14 years in the industry, also said that there won’t be any celebrations for this milestone.

On the work front, Abhay Deol has acted in films like Socha Na Tha (2005), Ahista-Ahista (2006), Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and Manorama Six Feet Under (2007), Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), Dev D (2009), Road Movie and Aisha (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Shanghai and Chakravyuh (2012) Raanjhanaa (2013), Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016) and Zero (2018).
