Latest movie prep
It’s confirmed that Kangana will start prepping for Ashwiny Iyers latest movie Panga. It was announced on Instagram via a very emotional and heartwarming video of the director and the actor with their families. In the film, Kangana will play a national level kabaddi player. She’s a sportswoman who has to overcome stereotypes in order to achieve what she wants. It stars Punjabi singer and actor Jassie Gill as her husband, and there’s a special role by Neena Gupta. It seems that Kangana will be busy prepping for 15 days prior to when the shooting starts. Shooting will start in October going straight through to December. Seems like the star will be jam-packed on her schedule. But, for most of August Kangana and Ashwiny will be conducting workshops together in preparation for her role. Ashwiny reportedly is looking for a kabaddi coach that can hand guide Kangana through the sport. While Ashwiny screens nation level Kabaddi champions, Kangana has already started yoga which is essential for her role. Kabaddi players have to go through long reps holding their breaths and yoga can help with that. The game requires holding your breath so she will also go through training for that. She’ll have to learn different types of holds and kicks and learning the crocodile hold, and wrist catch will be important. She’ll have to go through changes in terms of her physique too. She will have to work twice as hard to achieve the athlete look and mindset. According to Iyer, the guidelines of her characters will be understood through studying the lives of various Kabaddi players and the challenges they have faced. We all believe Kangana will play out the role to perfection.
