Hollywood star Dylan McDermott intimate scene with Patti Lupone was too provocative even for the graphic Netflix series that it is finally deleted from the series. McDermott didn’t hold back for at least one Hollywood sex scene. In a new interview, the actor, 58, revealed that intimate scene he filmed with costar Patti LuPone, 71, could never on air on TV because it was simply too steamy.

“My sex scene with Patti LuPone was cut because it was too hot for TV,” McDermott said, not sharing any further details about the love scene.
In the Netflix series, which released in May, McDermott plays Ernie West, a tangy Tinseltown citizen whose acting career never developed and now manages a sex work service. LuPone performs Avis Amberg, a studio exec known to repeatedly said service and “go to Dreamland.” Ernie eventually develops a bond with Ellen Kincaid, performed by Holland Taylor.
Talking about the character, McDermott say: “He had an optimism and a joy that was completely infectious. Honestly, I didn’t want to stop being him. The lesson I learned from playing Ernie in Hollywood is to enjoy every minute of your life because ‘we’re all headed for the ol’ dirt pile.”
McDermott shared more about his Hollywood character, revealing that people were coming out of the woodwork to compliment him on the performance.
