Alia Bhatt to Compete with These Asian Girls to Win 2019 People’s Choice Award

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt who won a distinct niche in the industry in a very short time for her astonishing acting skills has been nominated for The Most Inspiring Asian Woman award at the 2019 People’s Choice Award. The beautiful actress is the only Indian in the nominations. So she has to compete with seven other Asian girls to win this prestigious award.

The other celebrities who are competing for the award are Zhou Dongyu from China, South Korean actress Jung Yu-mi, South Korean singer-songwriter CL, Thai actress Praya Lundberg, Indonesian star Raline Shah, Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna and Thai model Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying.

The lovely lady who comes from South Korea is known for her acting skills. She has been nominated for driving the discussion on female empowerment in South Korea with the choice to take on a controversial role in an upcoming film based on a feminist novel.

Praya Lundberg

Praya is a Swedish-Thai actress and model who has won many awards for her unique roles but it is her devotion to humanitarian causes that made her a member of this nominee list. Her efforts with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees earned her the distinction of being Southeast Asia’s first-ever UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador in 2017.

Raline Shah

Shah is one of the most fashionable ladies in Indonesia who has caught the eye of significant international brands overseas. She has collaborated with many local and international charities, and has even launched her own named ‘Rumah Harapan Indonesia’. It provides transit houses for children under 17 with non-communicable diseases.

Yuna

Yuna is a Malaysian musician who recorded her debut into the international music in 2011 and has not looked back ever since. She is the first Muslim musician signed under David Foster’s label Verve Records and has inspired a generation of young girls with her songs and style equally.

Zhou Dong Yu

Zhou Dong Yu is one of China’s most promising actresses. She shot to fame for the magnificent performances that she played in films and television dramas. The star secured the Best Actress award at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards for her role in ‘Under The Hawthorn Tree’.
