The beautiful pop singer, who reached the heights of glory in such young age, has spent the life in many controversies. In such young age, when you have got everything, fame, millions of fans, bank balance and every luxury, it makes you spoil. That’s what happened to Selena Gomez, the actor singer were in serious mental condition for more than couple of times. Recent she appears at the Cannes film festival in France and surprised everyone. During the red carpet appearance, she was looking fresh.  Recently, Selena Gomez says that Social Media is bad for My Generation, it’s a poison. Well this statement is much of surprised for fans and others as well.

Selena Gomez has spoken out against the “disturbing” effects of social media on young people, arguing that its emergence has been “terrible for my generation”. The singer and actor, with more than 150 million followers on Instagram, said that it had become “impossible at this point” to make social media platforms safe for users. She called on young people to take a break from social media if they were feeling overwhelmed.

Selena Gomez remained under severe stress and depression, when she had a break-up with another young pop singer Justin Bieber. Then again she was to hospital; when Justin wed with Hailey Baldwin.

While, talking about the ills of being social on the media, she said that for her generation particularly, social media has been awful. She further said, she understand that it very alluring “to use as a platform but it does scare me when you see how exposed these young girls and boys are. She thinks it’s dangerous for sure.

She advised, for me, I like to be intentional with it. I see these young girls. I’ll meet them at meet-and-greets, and they’re just devastated by bullying and not having a voice. “I would be careful and allow yourself some time limits of when you should use it.”

When asked whether as one of the most prominent social media figures she had a responsibility in making platforms safer, the 26-year-old said that it was “impossible to make it safe at this point. I’m grateful I have a platform. I don’t do a lot of pointless pictures.
