The queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut is always walks on different paths. She has had differences with media, Film industry and now with criteria of selection for awarding Indian national awards. Most recent and epic one is that, Kangana Ranaut says she deserves a National Award. Well she has celebrated her 32nd birthday.

Why She Should?

On her birthday, she said that for her portrayal of Rani Laxmibai in the recently released Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, she deserves a National Award or it will raise questions on their credibility. Interacting with the media, she said, “I feel there are certain things which if you will not respect, then it is, in turn, disrespectful for that organization itself.”

While talking with media, she expressed that, she and her film also lies in the category of having the national awards.  She further elaborated, So, if I or my film Manikarnika… doesn’t win at National film awards, then it will question the credibility of that award ceremony but if I come across other good work then, I will be objective enough to say it’s better than me.”

On the other hand, she also praised Tabu’s performance in AndhaDhun and said, “I think last year, Tabu gave an astonishing performance in Andhadun. I am floored by what she has done. I think in coming year, it will be revealed. If there will be a better performance than Manikarnika, I will definitely appreciate that but I don’t think it will happen.

On the professional front, the actress will be next seen in Mental Hai Kya. It is directed by National award-winning Telugu filmmaker, Prakash Kovelamudi, who is making his Bollywood debut with Mental Hai Kya. Prakash is known for helming films like Bommalata and Anaganaga O Dheerudu. The film marks the second collaboration between Rajkummar and Kangana after Queen (2014).
