Kangana Ranaut on ‘Mental Hai Kya’ Controversy

Once again the troublemaker girl of Bollywood kangana Ranaut is in limelight. But this time she is in the news for defending her upcoming film’ Mental Hai Kya’. As soon the poster came out, people, fans and some of medical experts questioned the poster. While they criticize the poster the way film-maker has reflect the mental issues.

After that, Kangana Ranaut used her sister Rangoli Chandel’s Twitter handle to defend her upcoming film ‘Mental Hai Kya’. The film has bothered the feelings of the Indian Psychiatric Society due to its title mainly. Before the release, the film has found itself in a problem as people have problem with the name of the movie. The Indian Psychiatric Society has slammed the makers for choosing a title that discriminates against the people who face mental health issues.

Kangana Ranaut on ‘Mental Hai Kya’

The film directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, the film will have Shahrukh Khan’s cameo too in it. Recently, the makers released a motion poster of the film which made the fans all the more excited for the film, while hurting others feelings.

In the poster, Rajkummar and Kangana have their tongues out with a sharp blade on it. It also has ‘Sanity is overrated’ written on it. The film that was scheduled to release in March, but has has a new release date due to controversy. It will now hit the theatres on June 21. Mental Hai Kya has been written by Kanika Dhillon.

Kangana has finally used her sister Rangoli’s Twitter handle as a medium to defend her upcoming film. She took to twitter and wrote, “On behalf of Kangana all I want to say is that everyone will be proud of ‘Mental Hai Kya’ the topic and subject she has chosen will trigger relevant talk and discussions around the stigma.”

When asked about Mental Hai Kya at an event, Rajkummar said, “It’s an amazing script as it is a very quirky and different comedy.
