Renowned Indian actor Irrfan Khan, whose international film career included blockbusters such as Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, Jurassic Park, and The Amazing Spider-Man, has died aged 53, his publicist said.

Khan, who was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018, died on Wednesday after he was admitted to a Mumbai hospital for colon infection. He was 53.
“Irrfan was a strong soul, someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him,” his publicist said in a statement.
The artist had spent many months last year in the United Kingdom undergoing cancer surgery. Unluckily, Irrfan Khan’s mother, Saeeda Begum died four days ago on April 25.
Despite his rank as one of Bollywood’s most renowned actors, Khan had fame for humility and honesty and news of his death sent all of the people from the entertainment industry and fan-following into grief, urging artists, fans and politicians from across the world has expressed their sorrow at his death.
