Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu collaborated for the first time in ‘Manmarziyaan’ which also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. While the director bonded with all the three actors in the film, he recently revealed that he found a great friend in Taapsee. Besides the friendship, the director speaks high of the actress. On the other hand, he reportedly stated that he has found a great friend in Taapsee and he does not say this to a lot of people.
According to him, they met twice before they started shooting for the film. While shooting the film, they got into many fights too. However, the filmmaker added that he has found this amazing friend who he doesn’t have to second guess. What she says is what she means and he doesn’t have to think twice making fun of her. He states that they are extremely comfortable.

In the latest interview, Anurag revealed that, he has found a great friend in her. “She went to my college for a month. I picked up the choreographer from that song sequence to do choreography in Dev D and she told me the girl in the corner dancing on stage was her.”
Anurag says in Taapsee, he has found a person he can count on. “Sometimes when I’m feeling down, I’ll call her no matter which part of the world she’s shooting in and ask if anyone’s at home as I just want to sit at her place and cut off from the world and she says yes please go ahead.
Bollywood most unorthodox says both of them relate to each other’s journey and struggles. “We identify with each other as being from the outside world that has their own minds, we agree to disagree and we have faced similar struggles.”
While concluding the matter, he added that she thinks she can make me feel much lighter, change my perception of being a dark filmmaker and I also indulge her. We have these fights and battles but in her, he has found a friend who I can count on.
