The King is an upcoming film adaptation of several plays from Shakespeare’s Henriad on Netflix. The film is directed by David Michod, from a screenplay by Michod and Joel Edgerton. It is the story of Hal, rebellious prince and heir to the English throne, is crowned King Henry V after his oppressive father dies. Now the young king must navigate palace politics, the war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life.
Besides that he left is relationship with his closest friend and mentor, the ageing alcoholic knight, John Falstaff. THE KING movie lead role played by Timothée Chalamet, while co-stars are Sean Harris, Ben Mendelsohn, Robert Pattinson, and Lily-Rose Depp.
