After Padmaavat, the Maharashtra Karni Sena now comes again with his logics, this time it is for Kangana Ranaut’s Manikaranika. According to Kangana Ranaut warning to Karni Sena, that this time it won’t be happening for me says Kangana. Karni Sena protest now comes again to be targeting Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, a biopic based on Rani Laxmibai. The actor, however, is having none of it.
The movie is a biopic on the life of Rani Lakshmibai, who revolted against the British Raj in 1857. Kangana Ranaut who has directed and plays the titular role in the movie said she is willing to fight it down with Karni Sena if need be.

A letter was sent earlier to the producers, director and the writers of the film in which the Karni Sena had said that if the image of Rani Laxmibai is maligned in the film or if she is shown to be the lover of some Britisher, the makers will face consequences. They had also said that the film will face protests.
She said, “Four historians have certified Manikarnika, we have got censor certificate as well, Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me. If they don’t stop then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them”.
Kangana has now reacted to the threat, saying she will destroy ‘each one of them’ if she is harassed. Kangana has co-directed the film and stars in the titular role. The Maharashtra wing of Karni Sena wrote a letter to the filmmakers in which they allegedly said that if the ‘image of Rani Laxmi Bai is maligned in the film or if she is shown to be the lover of some Britisher then the makers will face consequences.’ Rani Laxmi Bai, whose real name was Manikarnika. She was born into a Marathi family living in Varanasi before marrying the ruler of Jhansi.
