HBO’s Watchmen is based on the graphic novel co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons and published by DC. The series is set in a vary history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws. Watchmen embrace the reminiscence of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own.
The film sets in 2019, with no internet and smartphone, besides that story revolves around Robert Redford is the longest-serving President of the United States, having been elected in 1992. But the series of attacks started on police, after a conservative group of Rorschach followers “The Seventh Cavalry” commits simultaneous attacks on the houses of police members. Then the police start wearing masks.
