If you’ve not been living under a rock, then you probably would be aware of what’s going on in the music industry. The entire world knows about the hip-hop beef going on between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly. It’s perhaps the hottest news going around in 2018, but the truth is the feud had started way back in 2012. However, it was very much dormant for a while.

How it all started

The feud essentially started after Machine Gun Kelly’s tweet about Eminem’s daughter Hallie. Yes, Eminem has a daughter. And basically, that’s how it all began. After that according to rumors and speculation, Eminem had Machine Gun Kelly banned from Shade 45.

After that, we jump directly to 2015 when MGK indirectly accused Eminem of banning him from Shade 45 on Hot 97. It wasn’t like he mentioned Eminem by name. But it was pretty clear who he was talking about. Seemingly out of nowhere came the song “No Reason” which featured Machine Gun Kelly. There’s a line in the rap that says, “Popped in on the top charts out the cop car/To remind Y’all you just rap, you’re not God.” It was pretty obvious to fans and everyone that this is a clear die towards Eminem. The beef had only just begun.

What’s going on now

Eminem released his surprise album last month in August. The album called Kamikaze. The song that stirred up speculations and rumors was “Not Alike.” The Royce Da 5’9 collaboration caused a lot of controversies. It was mainly because it seems that there are a few verses aimed straight at Machine Gun Kelly. It’s a direct shot at him by Eminem calling him out for talking about his daughter and his jab on “No reason.”

So, the thing is, the hatchet didn’t get buried here. It wasn’t over yet, atleast not for Machine Gun Kelly. Days later he comes out with a dose track aimed straight at Eminem. The name of the song is Rap Devil, and it’s very obvious that it’s a jibe at the Rap God. It became the first response to Kamikaze’s disses by Eminem. It had left people wondering if he was going to get back to him for this. There were rumors about Eminem coming back with music that will be a clap back to Rap Devil. On September 14, 2018, Eminem released the much-awaited track. He’d already teased about the song to fans. The song called “Killshot” made fun of Machine Gun’s looks and lack of commercial success.

The song went on to break records on Youtube for the most played song in 24 hours. With about a 40 million views by now, the feud finally seems to be going out. Machine Gun Kelly took to Twitter sharing his thoughts asking Eminem to #Letstalkaboutit (Let’s Talk About It).
