Well Indian film industry is trying to behave, that it is out of world. Their actresses sometimes try to beat the boldness of Hollywood show vulgarness. Well on talking about gender, the latest statement by Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar has gone a bit further. In his or her, may be both, said that he is both for his mother: a son and a daughter.
Karan Johar also said that since he is the single child to his parents, he has been a daughter and son both, to his mother. Karan continued, “Many times, I have been a son and a daughter; my mother chose whatever part she needs.”

On the rising issue of harassment in Bollywood, Karan Johar said, “Masculinity or femininity is being comfortable in your skin”. Well critics say that Karan Johar has been anything but hesitant when it comes to speaking his mind. While there are so many label related to masculinity which define our lives, these myths have become an essential part of our lives. But it is not the case, when it comes to Karan Johar!
The Bollywood producers say that he believes that the problem of masculinity/femininity arises when people start categorizing and using phrases like “don’t cry like a girl” or “be a man”.
Further in the interview he said, that he is both a son and a daughter for the mother, when it required. He revealed that he would never want his twins, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar to live their lives in a typical manner. The manners and traditions, they are defined by the society; me and my children are not bound to follow them. He had stated, “If my girl wants to wear shorts, she shouldn’t be called a tomboy; she should be called sporty. I would not say things like, a girl must wear pink! No. My son likes pink, let him wear pink.
