Well the most celebrated couples of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding looks like is a super private affair. There are no pictures allowed whatsoever, getting a peek into the functions seems next to impossible. According to some news, their wedding has been kicked off in Italian celebration with Mehendi and Sangeet yesterday.
Both the actors got formally engaged on Monday, with just 40 to 45 people in attendance, including close family and friends. While Deepika reportedly was in a white dress, Ranveer wore a black suit for the occasion. On Tuesday, the report added, two more ceremonies were held, mehendi in the morning and sangeet in the evening.
The Wedding
As per other details, both the functions took place at different venues. Ranveer’s ceremony took place at the Casta-Diva Resort, overlooking Lake Como while Deepika’s function took place at Villa d’Este, which is about five kilometers away.
Early on Wednesday morning, the couple will take the pheras in a traditional South Indian-style wedding at a villa. The following day, they will take the vows again in an Anand Karaj ceremony, in Sikh tradition. There are very few industry peoples invited to the wedding. According to the reports, only Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are amongst the ones to make it to the gala, exclusive event at Lake Como.
While earlier, singers Harshdeep Kaur and Shubha Mudgal sang songs during the mehendi. While Harshdeep traditional mehendi songs, Shubha joined in with Thumri songs. However, there are some news that film songs were also played. Ranveer reportedly made a theatrical entry, dancing to his song, Tune Maari Entriyan (Gunday) while Harshdeep sang a number of sings such as Mehndi Ni Mehndi, Dholak, Kala Shah Kala, Mehendi Hai Rachney Wali.
Five years after they met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s tempestuous love story, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are on their way to tying the knot and living together happily ever after.
