If you saw the hashtag “#RihannaIsPregnant” trending on social media particularly on Twitter, you may have thought that the pop singer had declared that she was expecting. But as we all know that social media is a weird and complicated platform, where things are often not quite as they seem. We are seeing a similar trend when twitter is obsessing over the rumor “Rihanna is Pregnant.”
‘Rihanna is pregnant’ is fully trending on Twitter right now, and fans are going mad at it. Let’s be thoroughly honest here, though: There hasn’t been any official statement from Rihanna’s sources, Rihanna herself, or a verified news agency about this rumor. As of this moment, it’s just Twitter doing its stupid, stupid thing.
While it’s true that RiRi quoted giving birth to a baby girl in a recent interview, it’s necessary to acknowledge the meaning of her remarks. The Barbadian girl hosted her 5th annual Diamond Ball in New York City last Thursday night. While speaking to Essence, Rihanna said:
“I’m a black woman. I come from a black woman who came from a black woman who came from a black woman and I’m going to give birth to a black woman.”
After this, people not only started spreading rumors that she is pregnant but also started suggesting who the father of the expected child is. The apparent answer would be her Saudi boyfriend Hassan Jameel, who she’s been dating for quite some time now.
Rihanna is Pregnant?
In an interview, the Barbadian girl was asked if she’s in love with Jameel, she didn’t shy and confidently said, “Of course I am.” It didn’t end here; she was again asked if she’s going to marry Jameel and she replied:
“Only God knows that, girl. We plan and God laughs, right?”
For her part, Rihanna has not clarified the rumors, which is not shocking, given how tight-lipped she’s been about her personal life in recent years.
Though we know that she’s still dating Hassan Jameel, little else is known about her private matters. But we’re certain when she’s willing to have a baby or release an album, she’ll make the announcement when she understands appropriate and at that time, millions of her fans will surely get heart-broken and some will lose their minds. The full quote of Rihanna was something like that:
“I’m a black woman. I came from a black woman, who came from a black woman, who came from a black woman and I’m going to give birth to a black woman. My mother is an incredible example of how to fight through obstacles in life. I’m sure her mom taught her that and that’s how I’m going to be. We are impeccable, we’re special, we’re special and the world is going to have to deal with that.”
